Leah Gillam, LCSW-S
Owner/Clinical Director
My passion is helping survivors of trauma reclaim or redefine their inner strength. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Supervisor (Lic# 619867) treating clients in the state of Texas. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is my primary treatment modality; I have been EMDR certified since 2018. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and other evidence based methods into my work. I am currently pursuing my APSATS certification to better serve clients who have experienced betrayal trauma.
Before opening Selah Counseling Center in 2019, I worked at The Menninger Clinic with teens in crisis and their families. Prior to that, I worked with nonprofit agencies providing mental health services for children in foster care, women in recovery, individuals with complex mental health needs, and couples in high conflict relationships.
As a therapist, I strive to provide the best trauma responsive care possible. This means being client-centered, curious, and compassionate.
I'm Leah Gillam, LCSW-S, and I'm a cycle breaker.
